  1. The test will come in the times when the broken jet stream parks arctic air over that country, pushing the demand for home and business heating. (I presume that thermal plants don’t fail from freezing in Germany the way the nuclear power plant did in Texas.)


  2. Germany’s gone from a major net power exporter to a net importer. The economy is down, too, which reduces demand (as do high power prices.)
