In the past week or so, Ukraine has been using its drones to cut off Crimea (taken by Russia in 2014) from Russia. Now that they’ve taken out so much of Russia’s air defense in the area, they’ve been free to use their medium-range Hornet drones to hit every fuel truck and locomotive going in to Crimea via the occupied zones (Ukrainian land taken since 2022), starving them of fuel, plus hitting all connecting bridges into the peninsula except for the Kerch bridge that heads east into Russia, giving the locals a way out. They’re now also hitting all of the power stations on Crimea and making it a miserable place to be. Ukraine wants not only to repel the 2022 invasion, but to take Crimea back, too.
