This is a government bailout in motion, to temporarily save an industry that is doomed to fail, all because his donors need to exit through IPOs.
He’s evidentially criminally insane and no one will do a thing about it because his behavior suits the people who control him just fine.
This will turn a market crash and recession into a great depression, all because he’s cognitively unable to understand the real world and its ramifications. And no one has the courage to try and explain it to him.

This is how you know the “AI” industry is in deep shit.
Trump doesn’t know the first thing about it. All he knows is that it’s making the stock market go up because he’s pumping insane amounts of liquidity into it, which is funding data centers & labs—and inflating the bubble. At the same time, the public resentment is climbing higher.
People are realizing chatbots don’t actually help them at all. Instead, the industry is badly hurting us economically, environmentally and cognitively.
The problem is not with the world “artificial,” the problem is with the word “intelligence.”
LLMs are not “intelligent.” They MIMIC the intelligence of people through enormous amount of stolen data and computing power. They are not “beings.”
They do not “think.” They are enormous amounts of 1s and 0s being shuffled around. Chatbots are the exhaust of humanity compressed into a database, and decompressed token by token through a natural language interface. These are big data search engines.
We should call them that. “Agentic AI” is just search engines doing more searches in a loop. It’s all anthropomorphic nonsense.
The language of the industry has been its best propaganda. It all needs to be thrown out. These are tools for humans to learn from other humans, not independent “intelligence” manifested by a machine god.
