One thing that’s saved our bacon to date is that China, which used to be the major buyer of seaborne oil, has bought very little off of the high-priced world market since the war. They have ginormous stockpiles plus whatever’s coming in via pipeline from Russia. (And their gas power plants can be supplemented by lower-rung coal power plants if need be.)
