In Chicago we had snow showers around midday Saturday, it was 63 degrees at 5pm Sunday, temperature dropped 24 degrees in the next hour, with downpours and thunderstorms. Woke up this morning with an inch or so of snow on the ground and it’s going to 13 or so tonight (it’s 26 at noon). And I think it might have been Friday when we had winds gusting over 60mph, or it might have been some other recent day. It’s been crazy.
It hit 94°F in Austin today, with the previous record for March 15 being 92°F.
We’ve been getting a big drop since that peak today, with very high winds and a red flag warning, and expecting it to drop to <40°F overnight.
It beats the hell out of a blizzard, though.
