Elizabeth Kolbert has been tireless in documenting the Climate Crisis as a writer for the New Yorker, and author of a number of books on the topic.
I met Kolbert in Greenland, when we both hopped a chopper to a remote research site on the ice sheet.
John Stewart asks a lot of the questions that normal citizens might ask.

I’ve always liked Kolbert for her refusal to put on rose-colored glasses or sugarcoat these topics. It’s integrity combined with steadfast guarding against biases – it’s really rare, especially in a well-known journalist.
I’ve been a Stewart fan since the 1990s, but he’s shockingly behind in his understanding of the fossil fuel vs. renewables debate here. Plus, he quoted as fact a very questionable stat about NJ electricity prices rising 20% because of renewables:

Colbert does say renewable energy is cheap and that CO2 emissions must stop now. It is good to see her with a sense of humour, she has been an honest witness.
Saw the interview very funny. She has a quick whit.
