Senator Presses Intelligence Director on Climate Impacts

Senator Angus King presses Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on some points related to this week’s spectacular intelligence snafu, that you’ve probably read about, but then moves on to ask about changes in the Intelligence Community’s assessment of Climate Change.
King also asks, if cyber security is a priority, why is the administration cutting staff in agencies tasked with cyber defense.

  1. Gabby, translation: “We’re aware we’re lying; my orders are to keep lying. Everybody knows that; so why are you wasting time asking me about it? Why not just talk about my pretty outfit & the streak in my hair that shows that despite selling out to these insane morons I’m still cool?”

If the senators could put their egos on hold for a day & have 1 person ask all the questions in these hearings, he or she could focus systematically on what’s important, & hammer the witnesses until it was completely obvious to everyone they’re stonewalling.
Again, civilization’s chances of survival take a back seat to individuals’ need for power.
