“One in One hundred year event in Progress”. We’re going to have to recalculate those odds. Early reports “Worse than Ida”, which caused massive damage and many deaths when the remnants that had come a thousand miles over land came thru in 2021. This storm consists of remnants of Storm Ophelia, still hanging around, combined with a system coming in from the west. Once again, in a climate changed world, you don’t need major hurricanes to cause major hurricane damage.

I snorted when she said not to drive across flooded roadways because “that’s bad for your car,” because that’s probably a more effective statement than telling people it’s unsafe.
