It’s darned tough to maintain a job in the same field these days, even to have continuous employment on one’s C.V. New skills and “upskilling” required and most probably a good few lay-offs and early retirements. Yeah, the fact that EVs have far fewer parts will result in net fewer jobs (including muffler, oil change and most other service jobs).
