Australian Climate Denier: “I’m Not Relying on Evidence”

Less than cogent argument from Australian climate denier on stage with Penn State’s Michael Mann.

Basically, “I don’t believe the science, but I can’t tell you why.”

  1. Sounds a bit like the old cab driver argument, rearings it’s head. (You can prove anything with facts”)

  2. First time I saw this it was under the heading ‘senator heckled’. Well he was, but predominately laughed at. Good stuff, let there be more of it.

  3. Once you say “Basically, I don’t believe the science, but I can’t tell you why.” then that means you are up for any crackpot idea including pseudo science and witchcraft to only mention two of many.

  4. The ‘Why’ is easy…. “I don’t want to know why, it might require me to make changes to my comfortable lifestyle.” Sod the grandchildren (or even the children) what have they ever done for me?
