It’s a crazy world when people spend hours on line to get sandbags.
I don’t have to worry about my house flooding since I was smart enough not to buy anywhere near a flood plain, but I wonder if maybe these folks who are worried about just a few inches of water coming in around the door wouldn’t be just as well served by duct-taping the door edges instead of sand bagging—-might have to climb in and out windows for the duration, but it would be a lot faster

Wonder how many of those water bottles will make it to the ocean as trash? We need to consider banning plastic. Possible exceptions for medical.
After Katrina they were finding all sorts of major home appliances in the gulf. Storm surges take out streets full of houses.
Sand bags are darn heavy
