Now the meanings might have changed over the years but I thought a “super nova” was an explosion which comes after a crushing event where protons and electrons are crushed into neutrons and anti-neutrinos. Likewise, a “hyper nova” is an explosion proceeded by a crushing event where quarks are forced to combine.
