How the internet is processing the news that Exxon knew about climate change all along.
Nice interview with Union of Concerned Scientist’s Aaron Huertas below.

The physics-deniers don’t seem as interested in this latest “email scandal.” Not enough cherry picked quotations with ellipses!

I guess Russell will be along shortly to write allot that means nothing, or maybe anything he wants it to mean.
Exxon aside, Russell also has to deal with the Peabody White House submission fiasco.
It is of no surprise at all, that Exxon suppressed and purposely countered scientific knowledge from the 80’s. It is similar single minded, recklessness as the tobacco industry, but on a vastly larger scale (and encompassing more than just human health) and of course they have a lot more addicts to provide for.
Not sure when Universities introduced business ethics to their courses, (they certainly teach it in Economics/Business studies today), but greed has overcome any ethics that the board of Exxon (and others) may have held, I wonder if their senior executives have provided insulated/isolated biospheres in the higher latitudes for their offspring and future relatives.
The question is what (if anything) will come of this discovery.
RTCC and the Guardian suggest that Exxon diversify their board members, to wider range of ages and background, if they do then let’s hope that some of these replacements have done the ethics course.

The Guardian: Lack of diversity on boards of US oil firms ‘increases risk’ of bad investments

Many of us climate campaigners figured out a long time ago that Exxon and the other companies were perfectly aware of the horrors they are causing. Now that hard proof has been made available, it’s time for indictments, fines plus penalties, and imprisonment of key executives such as Raymond, Tillerson, and Boyce.
This effort will probably have to come from The Hague, since our judiciary is too corrupt. Someone from The Hague will be visiting us in two days. If anyone wants to help, please send me an email at mike.greenframe@gmail.com
