This is so tiresome, people.
A major reason we are in a global crisis at the moment is because mainstream media sources insist on giving voice to bad-faith dishonest actors as “the other side” in discussions of climate change.
In an upcoming, purportedly serious “Climate Forward” event for Climate Week, the New York Times is hosting an event that will be giving time to reasonable, fact based people (Ali Zaidi, President Biden’s national climate advisor, Scientist Jane Goodall, EPA Administrator Michael Regan, and, OK, benefit of the doubt for Occidental Petroleum CEO Vicki Hollub).
But then, they throw in right wing fundamentalist freak and author of the Project 2025 blueprint for Autocracy, Kevin Roberts, who advocates scattering the US Government’s scientific establishment to the winds.
This is a man whose only job is to create as much confusion and spread as much disinformation as possible, but the once Newspaper of record is still willing to pretend that this is a serious human being?
OK.
I guess it’s simply too much to ask that we stop playing this game, even in the face of a massive global extinction event.

FWIW, a climate action group has a petition here asking the Times to disinvite this psychopath.
