Could Texas Dodge Beryl Bullet?

This guy at KXAN in Austin gives one of the most informative takes I’ve seen on possible tracks for Beryl.

UPDATE:
Fox Houston weighs in.

  1. Kudos to the stations for both of them working to inform. The one statement from the KXAN video that caught my ear was right after 4:00 in the video where he said they’d decided to discard the possible rainfall predictions from the American and European models and create their own to get away from the “outrageous” rainfall possible.

I know local meteorologists get leeway to assemble their local forecasts, and hope he’s right should Beryl get up there, but it was an interesting take to hear them decide to discard what he said they usually use because of the amount of rain they saw in both models.
