EV Sales Solid Year on Year

Energy.gov:

A comparison of monthly EV sales data for the last three calendar years shows that for each individual month, EV sales increased significantly from the year before. The highest sales for a single month in 2021 was about 50,000 vehicles, for 2022 was about 80,000 vehicles, and in 2023 was over 100,000. Sales are often lowest in January following a rise that usually takes place in December.

Note: Excludes plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.

    1. Not just Ferd, the whole American side of the industry is falling way behind way fast. In my ongoing learning curve as a new eMini owner I’ve found that the new Minis, the 2025, are no longer made in England. They’re a BMW product manufactured at a sparkling new facility at the BMW campus in Germany … and will be launching production at a sparkling new facility in China later this year

Just one very slim slice (for now) of the EV market but a major harbinger of what some of us have been calling out since the turn of the century: America better get going, or lose to Chinese …
