    1. I remember with the lasting flooding of New Orleans’ City Park and elsewhere after Katrina wondering if the oak trees would survive that long in the water. Psychologically, it made a difference that they did (though it turned out that magnolia trees couldn’t survive that long a flood).


      1. This Banyan is important but only 150 years old. It could be a bridge from the past in reality and psychologically. Or maybe it should just pass on…
