Sort of explains why the dictatorships like Russia and Saudia Arabia has such a tight grip on its population, as only a true democracy can accept disobedience as a form of freedom of speech. No doubt they are all smiling as each company in the western world is experiencing this opposition, and the west become more and more dependent on import from Saudi Arabia and Russia. I’d like to see this kinds of disobedience happen in those countries… then we might have a chance of a major impact. Here in Norway, there are just too many businesses dependent on the fossil fuel industry that anyone dare oppose it as it could backfire immediately on yourself no matter what business you are in…

Thank you for acknowledging the inextricable role that activists will play in making the emergency transition. It’s glaringly obvious that the current political system cannot, will not, do what is necessary to get off fossil fuels. To save their own lives, they do not recognize the addiction that is killing our communities (biological, human), and it will eventually kill them. The immediate money is just too good. This is why we’ve marched across the country, and why activists are now getting arrested on a near daily basis. We have to put our bodies on the line because our lives are on the line.
