Terrific Video Primer on the Greenhouse Effect

Very quick, one minute animated primer on the radiative properties of gases.

Hat tip to atmospheric scientist Andrew Dessler for this.

  1. Thanks for that – a 45 minute lecture distilled into an easy on the eye and easy on the brain 3 minute video clip . . . .

Excellent to give the concept of the physics behind the radiative forcing of GreenHouseGas, so quickly.

    1. Yes, a very well-done video. Takes me back to the days when we were excited about having overhead projectors in the classroom and were able to move faster because we didn’t have to draw diagrams on the chalkboard. Some concepts like the oscillation of molecules that were very hard to illustrate in the “old days” are a snap to show this way.

Now, many schools are requiring students to have laptops or pads, and students can call up such videos at their seats and later in their dorms for review.
