Less Meat, More Veggies, Change the World by Eating Lunch

Nice media campaign from Morningstar Farms.

What you do does matter.

  1. ““Cows use 28 times more land and 11 times more water than other animals to produce the same amount of meat. ”

Gosh – that sounds terrible. But I believe the proper answer is:

    “So what?”

Cows use pasture land – most of which is not suitable for crops. I don’t believe the water figures, but let’s say they are correct. Again – so what? They piss it out, you know.

Chickens don’t produce milk or shoe leather – so how is this comparable? Jesus Christ – look how carefully worded those quotes are!

On the other hand – antibiotic use in the livestock industry for anything but treating an infection in an individual animal has to stop. That is a good point.
