350 or bust sent me off to read that the Lima Accord had lowered the agreed ‘maximum’ limit from 2°C to 1.5°C… yet William Walden speaks here of the earlier agreed limit. Of course both are pie in the sky, we’re headed for a far warmer world since nobody, still, is actually agreeing any firm numbers on the carbon cuts.
In other news… the largest vessel the world has ever seen” is under construction, a massive floating natural (sic) gas refinery. It won’t be ready to be launched for several years yet; but if humanity is serious about carbon cuts not only should it never be launched at all, but we shouldn’t even be building it…
