The first Dark Snow samples to get run through the ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer)! We are using this highly sensitive and accurate instrument to scan for concentrations of certain elements that could be tracers for aerosol source.
Great news! I cancelled my decision to understand how an ICP-MS works 5 minutes into a tutorial. Life’s too short.
