Interesting, and shows that we have spent only an “eye blink” in time on rather rudimentary observation of the Arctic. Were it not for satellites, we’d be hardly farther along in our understanding than the folks who explored it over the preceding millenium or two. Same goes for the oceans—-we need to forget about going to Mars and the Moon and up our game on exploring Mother Earth
