Following wide-scale flooding in Texas that saw at least 43 people die, former NOAA administrator Dr. Rick Spinard says NWS layoffs has “compromised” storm readiness for communities.

Meanwhile, DHS director Kristi Noem, who noted she does not oversee NWS or it’s parent agency NOAA, said Trump wants systems that provide weather alerts.

Thank God you can’t say “climate” anymore. That should help.
