Problem Solved: Trump Begins Purging “Climate Change” from US Websites

That oughta do it.

Project 2025 in action. See “Training video” above, which mentions that all reference to climate change must be “eradicated”, apparently from anywhere.

ABC News:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has directed agency officials to review and remove content related to climate change from its public websites, according to internal emails obtained by ABC News.

The directive instructs web managers to identify, archive, or unpublish materials mentioning climate change by “no later than close of business this Friday,” according to the emails.

In an email sent Thursday, USDA Director of Digital Communications Peter Rhee detailed the process, requiring staff to “identify and archive or unpublish any landing pages focused on climate change” and track related content in an attached Excel spreadsheet for review.

“OC will review the submitted materials and make determinations on next steps,” Rhee wrote, referring to the department’s Office of Communications.

A separate email sent to website managers at the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) emphasized the urgency of the request.

“USDA and ARS OC are requesting you comply with the instructions below from USDA’s Office of Communications,” the email read, instructing ARS staff to submit their content audit by 3 p.m. ET Friday to meet the department’s deadline.

USDA officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment from ABC News.

According to the spreadsheet provided to website managers and obtained by ABC News, content is being categorized into three levels of urgency. Pages dedicated entirely to climate change are marked as “Tier 1,” while those where a significant portion of the content relates to climate change are labeled “Tier 2.”

Pages where climate change is mentioned in passing but is not the main focus should be identified under “Tier 3,” according to the spreadsheet.

“For each piece of content, include the title, link, and your recommendation on how the content should be handled,” the email reads.

The USDA has long been involved in climate research and in studying how rising temperatures and shifting weather patterns impact agriculture. The department’s website includes extensive resources on climate science, carbon sequestration, and adaptation strategies for farmers.

A USDA webpage published in 2022 provides information on “Climate Change Adaptation and USDA.”

“Producers, ranchers, forest landowners, and communities across the country are facing challenges posed by the effects of climate change,” the webpage states. “Some of these effects are familiar but occurring more frequently or intensely while others are new and unprecedented.”

  1. On a related note: An executive order from Donald Trump this week: 1) instructs all doctors and scientists working at the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and NIH (National Institute of Health) to “stop publishing research papers” and “to stop traveling to conferences to share research.” 2) The CDC (Center for Disease Control) can no longer publish a “weekly morbidity mortality report” which it had been doing every week for the past 70 years.

  2. This seems extreme and sinister, I hope that NOAA, and/or NASA, or even Berkeley Earth are permitted to continue to release Monthly temperature updates, else it will be Copernicus and the JMA to continue the work, without alone. And I hope no human experiments on the unfortunate newcomers to the held at Guantanamo Bay detention camp. Remember another population went through this in the 1930’s, ordinary people were trained to think it O.K to spit on Jews and gypsies, who they made crouch and scrub their dirty pavements.

    1. “I hope that NOAA, and/or NASA, or even Berkeley Earth are permitted to continue to release….”

Really, have you been paying attention?
Federal agencies are being gutted, starting with the [attempted] firing of all FBI and DOJ members who had anything to do with the January 6 convictions, with further warning of further retribution against them.

Captain Ketamine (aka Musk), who wasn’t allowed an official security clearance before Trump came along, has full access to all Americans’ tax and social security records, is gutting agencies with the same abandon that he broke Twitter. The quickest way to be fired by Musk (or Trump), is to in any way criticize a decision.

Republicans (and, sadly, some Democrats) are rolling over and showing their bellies as they approve Trump’s insane cabinet appointments.

      1. Loss of awareness and partial memory loss
Apparently the original, non-Cheeto Caligula wanted to make his favorite horse Incitatus a Senator (or a Consul; reports are confused) but was assassinated before he could.
It seems like a short walk from where we are now with these clown appointments to pets & livestock holding office.

“It is plausible that Caligula experienced epilepsy that began in childhood, possibly with febrile seizures and later dialeptic (a type of seizure that causes a loss of awareness and partial memory loss) or cognitive seizures. Caligula later experienced status epilepticus in 37 CE, which triggered an epileptic psychosis with the consequent psychopathic and paranoid changes. This clinical condition may have been affected by excessive alcohol intake and lead poisoning.”

Rome’s lead poisoning [1] was from plumbing. Ours is from burning fossil fuels, as are the psychoactive effects of fossil fuel mercury, PM2.5 [3], CO2, & other substances as well as heat [4].

        Partial lists:
[1] Pb: No safe level. Blood lead concentrations as low as 5 µg/dL, once thought to be a “safe level”, associated with mental and other effects: Lower IQ, learning disabilities, reduced attention span, aggression, anti-social impulses and behavior, crime, coma, convulsions, death.
[2] Hg: The other geologically persistent planetary poison: emotional instability, trembling and mood swings, insomnia, reduced cognitive function and memory loss, tooth loss, hallucinations, delusions, paranoia, death. Mad Hatter Syndrome, word salad. 50% of toxic Hg is from burning coal
[3] PM2.5: depression, anxiety, cognitive impairment, mood disorders…
[4] CO2: heightened anxiety, decreased cognitive function, feelings of discomfort, irritability, and impaired decision-making,
[5] Heat: reduced cognitive function, anxiety…increased online hate speech

The mercury cycle goes ‘round it

A global load, and we pound it

I’ve come to believe

Our plan is to leave

A world crazier than we found it

      2. “Really, have you been paying attention?” – obviously not, I do live in the opposite side of the world, it greatly saddens me to see the once great U.S of A go this sinister way. I think I’ll hibernate for the next 4 years and keep my fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

“Elon Musk and his DOGE hackers are ransacking their way through the federal government, unlawfully gaining unfettered access to Americans’ private information and gutting programs people depend on,” Lofgren and Huffman wrote in a press statement. “Now they have reached NOAA where they’re wreaking havoc on the scientific and regulatory systems that protect American families’ safety and jobs.”

  3. Seen just now on SM. The Wizard of OZ is an allegory for America (and everywhere else of course).
Strawman represents the farmer and has no brain. Tinman represents industry and has no heart. Lion represents politicians who have no courage.
    I thought it was cute.

  4. “The U.S. Department of Agriculture has directed agency officials to review and remove content related to climate change from its public websites….”
I wonder if the threat of property insurance collapse will be on Trump’s radar.

There’s an analog to Occam’s Razor called Trump’s Razor: When seeking an explanation for the behavior of Donald Trump, always choose the stupidest possible explanation.

  5. The nice lady in the training video is correct, the number one threat in the US is no longer climate change, it’s stupid people in positions of power.

    1. The number 1 threat to the US, and every other country, and the world, is climate catastrophe.

The people in power are not stupid; if they were, they wouldn’t have gotten power. They’re insane. That’s a different problem with different solutions, & the exact nature of their mental illness determines the exact nature of the solutions. Epitomized by Trump, they are narcissistic nihilistic psychotic psychopaths, full of fear, rage, hatred, & shame, addicted to power and sadism. They will never allow themselves to be treated as long as they have power; they will never give up power as long as they have the disease.

      It’s our move.

      1. OK, well I would say the cause of the climate problem is the insane people in power you mention and their low information (sic stupid) support base.
A case of cause and effect. Unless the road block cause is removed, no action can be taken to reduce effect.

        1. Yes, I agree. The cause of all our problems is the complex mental illness best described as Wetiko disease.

Even the stupid is caused by psychological problems. I think of it as SISS, pSychologically Induced Stupidity Syndrome.

  6. It probably is time to ditch the phrase “climate change”. It always was waaay too sanitised an expression, designed not to frighten the planet gobbling invisible hand and cult followers.
Lets forget about “climate change” and move onto “climate stability collapse”.
