We have been seeing huge wild fires in California and even Washington, Oregon state for years now. Same for drought. All driven by climate change, which is NOT going away.
This is the new normal, and it is likely to get worse. If I were a homeowner in California, I think I would replace my lawn with gravel and embrace desertification.
