Well maybe sometime this century even the US will get the idea that it’s *way* more resilient, not to mention cheaper in the long run, to bury these power lines in the freakin’ ground instead of having them taken down by trees every year.
It seems that, whether in government or the private sector, managers can’t stretch a tight budget for prevention, but they can magically somehow find money to repair the damage.
I do wonder if insurance companies can have any influence on this.
