SCOTUS Affirms Government Duty to Warn about Social Media Disinformation
Seems important – especially that Amy Coney Barrett lead the majority. Could this begin tipping the scales back on the tsunami of bullshit we’ve seen since, for instance, Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter?

Disturbing how much bullshit accompanies free speech, especially to those who rely on it to distribute information about important issues like climate change. So it’s perfectly understandable that the blame should be placed not just on the least censorious social media platform but its major owner. And to keep the focus where it obviously belongs, let’s agree to never complain about or criticize the Chinese government and its use of TikTok.
Shall we call it the “least censorious platform” or “free-range racist bullshit zone” or…both? I especially like the bit where people like Anthony Fauci and others get death threats based for him and his family based on unfiltered and multi-repeated bullshit conspiracy theories.
At least Zuckerberg doesn’t personally go around accusing people of pedophilia, casually tossing out stock-manipulating “opinions” and supporting Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
