Tommy Smothers passed away.
I remember watching their show while high, and I think they knew damn well I wasn’t the only one.
I didn’t realize till years later that Tommy was prominently one of the Counter Culture Who’s Who that made up the Plastic Ono band for “Give Peace a Chance”, which was ubiquitous background music in summer of 69.
Thanks you, I grew up watching the Smother Brothers and loving all the talent and the messages they gave us. Dropped by the winery while it was still Smothers Brothers Winery. But I never realized Tommy’s part in Give Peace A Chance video. WOW!! Thanks!
