For God’s sake, what does somebody have to do to get fired over at “X”?
Tech billionaire Elon Musk faced a third day of backlash Friday from Jewish leaders, the White House and media advertisers including Disney and Apple after he embraced an antisemitic conspiracy theory earlier in the week, the latest in a pattern of his echoing anti-Jewish bigotry going back years.
Musk sparked the criticism with six words he posted Wednesday afternoon on X, the social media app he purchased a year ago. Responding to another user who had accused Jews of hating white people and who had expressed indifference to antisemitism, Musk wrote: “You have said the actual truth.”
Musk, the CEO of the automaker Tesla and the rocket company SpaceX, followed up his first tweet with criticism of the Anti-Defamation League, or ADL, an organization founded by Jews to oppose antisemitism. Musk has been feuding with the ADL for months over its efforts to reduce extremism on social media, a campaign that Musk says has cost X ad sales.
Comcast now “pausing’ advertising on X, along with NBC Universal, Xfinity, Bravo, Paramount, Disney, Apple, IBM, and Lionsgate
Changing hourly.
Just below the surface, as American as Cherry pie.

It feels kind of creepy to hit the like button on this one
I am currently watching the fictional “Man in the High Castle” on Amazon Prime Video where American Obergruppenfuherführer John Smith directs NAZI activities from his New York office (in this story the allies have lost WW2 in Europe and Japan). I thought the whole premise to be borderline ridiculous until I just watched the real 1939 video just above.
He personally owns the company – can’t be fired.
In his mind, Musk believes he is in the right, and unfortunately this situation is going to get a lot worse before it ever gets better. To him, the great enemy is Media Matters and the mainstream media in general, and events like this only bolster that belief. He’s going to make X increasingly critical of the left and the media, give voice to far right fringe elements and conspiracy theories, and increasingly pitch in to personally support loony posts. He won’t learn from this – at all – just the opposite.
Wait until election time and he starts publicly supporting the Republicans and posting about how Biden is horrible.
Deactivate your Twitter / X account permanently if you still have one. Never buy a Tesla. Humans do not need to go to Mars. Robots can do it better.
So far the engineers are still in charge at Tesla and Musk is well distracted by tweeting all day so he hasn’t messed it up beyond all recognition yet. I’m wondering who is actually running it but they seem to be doing a decent job so far. Look for a huge stock jump should Musk be ousted.
