30 new EVs coming very soon. Lots of orders booked.
Yet newer upstarts like Rivian and Lucid are getting more love in the market. How long will that last?

GM and Ford have a lot of legacy baggage in ICE vehicles, so they’re (currently) losing out on the “clean” and “ethical investment” funds. For example, Ford’s F-150 Lightning EV pickup is “good”, but they’re still cranking out many more ICE F-150s.

Ford has sold >600,000 ICE F-150s so far in 2021, and they’re planning on making 15,000 Lightnings in 2022.

Meanwhile, Rivian is slated for 10,000 Amazon vans in 2022, with a total of 100,000 by 2025. (It’s only expected to deliver just over 1,000 pickups for 2021.)
