  1. ‘Extended La Nina’ does not have a good fit with recent decade long droughts in OZ this century. As in the same period as USA droughts. Un-researched observation.


    1. Except Williams was saying La Nina meant
      – dry SW USA
      – dry southern Andes
      wet Australia (perhaps just northern coasts)


      1. Quick look gives this 21 century being the worst period for drought ever in OZ. As west USA heads foe worst ever droughts over similar period, indicates CG effects. Short time frame etc etc.


        1. AIUI, the northern coast is getting more rain, but in bursts from typhoons. The rest of Australia is aridifying, to be sure.
