I’m amazed they used the CC-word.
I mean, it’s about time… Now if they’ll just link fossil fuel emissions, we might get somewhere!
Last year, the local news in SoCal was all in on warning about the wildfires but, nowhere near mentioning the role of climate change. They did announce the arrival of Santa Claus at the local refuge center so, “all is well” and “this is fine” will continue to be the newsy of the day!
Can’t let extreme weather events ruin our holiday shopping now, can we?
Tempted to go on an espresso-bean-fueled road trip to visit relatives in CO (from hideously-overheated Southern California), and cool off in the snow wearing shorts & a t-shirt.

As soon as I managed to convert those temps to C I went WOW. -17C in Laramie!

Is there a high pressure system in the high arctic pushing all this cold air south? Anchorage and Fairbanks temps looks normal for the season.
