  1. My wife and I enjoyed two old sci-fi movies this week. 1) “Soylent Green (1973)” 2) “When Worlds Collide (1951)”.

“Soylent Green” takes place in 2022 where over population and global warming have made life very difficult for the non-rich.

“When Worlds Collide” is instructive because some very rich people ridicule the warnings by scientists that a disaster is on the horizon. Smart people who heeded the warnings begin building a rescue ship (ark?). When it becomes apparent that the scientists were correct, the rich people fall all over themselves to buy a front row seat.
