Could certainly be A big one if not THE big one—–hurricane season is a long way from over, so more may follow.
It’s still a long way out there, but moving slowly and building strength—-could easily be CAT 4 or 5 by the time it makes landfall. Looking less likely it will turn out to sea also. I’m glad I live away from the coast and on high ground. The ground is so saturated here in the DC area from the endless rains that EVERY rainfall brings official flash flood warnings and news videos of water rescues.
NC has had its share of floods caused by 1/1000 rainfalls in the past few years. While they’re still concerned about their coastline being et up, they know to prep for inland flooding.
