Of course The Onion exaggerates, but the truth is that until the SHTF in a major way, the deniers are going to continue to deny the truth of climate change. We have to hope that somewhere between where we are now and what The Onion lays out for the future is a tipping point that will convince them—-the question is whether there will be time enough (and the means) to turn things around.
PS Guy McPherson doesn’t think so, and is greatly curtailing his public activities so that he can enjoy life.
Sounds like a typical burn-out. I had a couple of them during the last decades. A decent break is helpful there. And then there’s a big chance that you’ll return to ‘duty’ after a while. I know what I’m talking about 😉
