Bob Inglis on Trump’s Climate Denial

Bob Inglis is a heck of a nice guy, and I’ve interviewed him at least once. The former Congressman was defeated in his conservative district when his children awakened him to what science is telling us. He remains a Republican, but is working to find conservative solutions to climate change.

But what I really keep thinking I’d like to ask him, is – what do you think your grandchildren will make of today’s Republican climate denial?

  1. Yes, Inglis seems like a “nice guy”, and he DOES understand what a charlatan Trump is, but NO ONE knows anymore what it means to “be a Republican”. His “conservative solutions to climate change” are just more of the “free enterprise will save us” BS that caused climate change in the first place. And look what his “reasoned” approach to climate change got him—-shoved out the door.

As to what anyone’s grandchildren will make of today’s Republican climate denial, I think that will depend on how they are educated and toilet trained. If they turn out to be good little “Republicans” (whatever that means), they will likely be seen holding up signs as some future Trump rally.

  2. Sometimes it is worth looking back to see who said what and when, in this case it maybe worth looking back to November 17 2010 and the ‘House Science and Technology Subcommittee on Energy and Environment’ hearing on ‘Global Climate Change’

In the introductory Bob Inglis spoke after Ralph Hall those with a masochistic bent can taste that before the Inglis contribution which starts at C 10:59 in this video.

The other video session are nearby at that source.

  3. Bob Inglis is probably the only good conservative left on the planet.
The rest are “brown-shouldering” the fossil fuel industry.
