Ok, I know they mispelled “English” in the thumbnail, but this is actually not too bad, if only for the nifty energy storage tech described at 2:50.
We can’t build a future that we can’t imagine. Images are food. One of the greatest values of the German Energiewende, and the reason the Fox News crowd is disinformed about it at every opportunity – is that it serves as an example of what can be done. For example of outrageous anti-renewable disinfo, see the video here, starting 2:45:
Below, wind guru Paul Gipe discusses distributed energy.
and under the fold, my very popular take on the solar revolution.

FOX News……sssshhhhheeesh. At least I learned something NEW from FOX: Germany has more sun than the US. I did not know that. I thought it was worse than the state of Washington, since it is NORTH of Washington state.
But with FOX….science and facts go OUT THE WINDOW.
Almost fell out of my chair when she lied about Germany’s sunlight. Wanna bet that someone with “nat gas” investments is paying off Faux News?
Peter, your comments about needing to be able to imagine the future in order to build it made me wonder if you’ve seen futurist Alex Steffen’s project on this topic?

It’s too bad the Energiewende video was marred by anti-nuclear propaganda. One wonders if you would have posted a clean-energy video that took equally political potshots at wind or solar.
probably not, because those would not be supportable by evidence, history, science, or fact.
