Drought, Water, and Solar Energy in the West

There are three basic responses to climate change – mitigation, adaptation, and suffering.

We talk about mitigation all the time,  – cutting greenhouse gas emissions.  Then there’s adaptation – how can we respond and change our practices and infrastructure to deal with changing conditions.  These are the two optional responses.

Unfortunately, the third response, suffering, at this stage, will be required, not an elective.
