John Oliver and the Statistically Representative Climate Debate

John Oliver is proving to be more than just another current events comic. He’s his own thing.

    1. I agree….it borders on brilliant, and should be spread widely (and repeated periodically on Crock). Checked on Youtube and it had 8847 hits—-it needs to go viral?

      1. I think it has a good chance of going viral – appeared on Mother Jones, and on facebook’s excellent Global Warming Fact of the Day group a few times already.
        Definitely a keeper.

      2. Now 1,681,000 views, and 95% likes!
Looks like a breakthrough to force politicians to take notice and consider their positions carefully.

    1. I don’t think the “satire warning” is as necessary here as it is on the right wing-nut sites. One of the great joys in life is watching them take satire from Borowitz or The Onion and repeating it endlessly around the circular firing squad, not recognizing that they are thereby helping others make fun of them, their wing-nuttery, and their willful ignorance..

  1. google ‘john oliver death penalty 12 minutes’
His piece on the death penalty managed to be funny, informative, and comprehensive, which could not have been easy considering the topic.
