  1. I think I agree with Bill. No rash decisions. the rising price of fossil fuel may do a lot more to bringing the fossil fuel era to a close than anything else. I would also include the costs of disastrous public relations due to environmental damage, oil spills, water poisoning, etc.

  2. “No comment”?

Not even to point out that O’Reilly is “self-righteous, arrogant, and dumb”?, to say nothing of ignorant, smug, and condescending?

He is perhaps not as bad as Limbaugh and Hannity, but isn’t far behind.

    1. There’s a short book from ’60s by Canadian author Pierre Berton thats’ worth a read; it’s been a while but from what I recall his points and complaints resemble the USA today.

Its title is “The Smug Minority”

  3. Yes, 60 minutes reported on TESLA motors. No, 60 minutes didn’t report on the half-billion dollar loan the Federal Gov’t gave it so it could expand into the Sedan Market. Public investments into clean energy must never be seen to work, ever. Not on Faux, and Not on 60 minutes.

  4. Most important takeaway from this O’Reilly talk: “even if that theory might SOMEDAY be valid.” There you go. A clear signal to his minions that the ‘story’ they’ve all agreed upon, from here on out, is that they never denied Global Warming, they just denied ‘destroying the economy’ until ‘all the evidence was in’. In about five years, as the evidence piles up, then, presumably, they’ll all get the signal that NOW its OK to destroy the economy, and that thanks to them it wasn’t destroyed prematurely before.

    1. “…even if that theory might SOMEDAY be valid…”. I can only imagine the conversation the USS O’Reilly had that led to this admission: “Yes, foreign vessel, I see we’re on a collision course. Would like you to turn 5 degrees to your Port.” [“This is foreigner. Yankee, we would like YOU turn 5 degrees to YOUR Port, to avoid colleesion.”] “Uh, foreign vessel, this is the US Navy, requesting you follow previous instructions and yield right of way!” [“No, Yank, we insist YOU yield as requested.”] “Hey, buddy! This is the USS O’Reilly. Largest, most bloviated, vessel in the US Navy!! WE INSIST you yield to your Port!” [“Well, OK, O’Reilly. Theese is lighthouse… your call…”]

  5. Tide comes in, tide goes out. You can’t explain that.
Bread goes in, toast comes out. You can’t explain that.
Dollar goes in, soda comes out. You can’t explain that.
Food goes in, poop comes out. You can’t explain that.

You’re right Bill, everyone else is so ignorant.
