Is that a lip dub? Or did he add fake record scratches to make it more authentic-sounding?
Who cares, Dave? Go away.l
Well, one thing that dave’s comment demonstrates; his ignorance and misapprehension of music video production matches his ignorance and misapprehension of time series analysis.
Hey Dave,
Woody Guthrie has a special message just for YOU!

You’re so special.
So long Pete Seegar ..and Goodnight Irene
Hi Jean,
I really liked the tune that Garrison Keillor selected last week to honor Pete Seeger. “Living In The Country”, written by Seeger in 1962, is a folk classic. I really like the lively cover that Leo Kottke came up with:

I’m still trying to track down the Kottke comment about Living In The Country being based on a Bahamian tune about worker’s compensation and the lack thereof. Anyone got a bone?
Failing that, I’m going to just enjoy a Redbone. This one honoring the rivers draining the Somerset Levels in SW England:
Need a latter-day Woody to write the soundtrack of global warming — perhaps instead of Dust Bowl Ballads call it Climate Change Cantos? “So long, it’s been good to know you / So long, it’s been good to know you / So long, it’s been good to know you / This pesky old storm surge has taken my home / And I got to be driftin along . . . ” The humanity that will be displaced by AGW will dwarf the number of “Okies” displaced by Great Dust Bowl . . . But why worry? Be happy!
Re: “call it Climate Change Cantos?”
Here’s something that comes close, “O Fortuna” from Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”….
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O_Fortuna
Substitute “climate chaos” for “fate” in the medieval poem and you pretty much have a wrap on what’s coming soon to a planet near you….
Fate – monstrous
and empty,
you whirling wheel,
you are malevolent,
well-being is vain
and always fades to nothing,
shadowed
and veiled
you plague me too;
now through the game
I bring my bare back
to your villainy.
Fate is against me
in health
and virtue,
driven on
and weighted down,
always enslaved.
So at this hour
without delay
pluck the vibrating strings;
since Fate
strikes down the strong man,
everyone weep with me!
All you denialists bound to lose…

Denialists are dying. Every day in every way. Because their story is so obviously not explaining changes in the weather that sure-nuf are starting to look like a much more wooly and wild climate than anything we’re seen before.
Thanks for the Woody selection. It was the one I was looking for above and didn’t quite find.
Your Woody selection reminds me of this gospel march from the 60s. “Don’t Let Nobody Turn You Round”.
