This past two weeks has been a roller coaster ride of one extreme after another across the US – see video elsewhere on this page – and the rest of the planet.
Although climate deniers were out in force last week with the “it’s cold thars a new ice age a’-comin” canard, what is getting thru to the American people is not that temps are cold, but that the swings have become so extreme and so frequent.
I made this video at end of summer 2011, to illustrate the contrast between “global cooling” climate denial hucksters, and the actual brutal hot conditions that were just a preamble to 2012’s record year.
It’s hard to believe I’ve been doing these things for 5 years now – between the Climate Crocks material, and the newer This is Not Cool series thru the Yale Forum, there are way more than a hundred vids.
I’ll be doing more repostings in coming months, as I am working thru old material in hopes of recutting into a longer Climate Crocks feature. More on this in coming weeks – but if you have any favorites from the Climate Crocks playlist, let me know.
Then there are all the dramatic extremes that Australia has endured these past several years. If you have a video about that, I think you could also post it.

That’s a pity, but these videos are worth it anyway. Australia is the world’s miner’s canary in a sense.
I don’t accumulate a library of these things, but I can recall reading/seeing many references to Australia’s “extremes” over the last few years—-heat, drought, fires, floods, death of the barrier reef, effects on plant and animal populations, etc. Australia’s position in the southern latitudes is apparently right at the place where the effects of AGW will be seen soonest “down there”.

And leave it to a deluded Young Patriot like Hannity to speak of communist corporations. I can remember him before he sold out—I was biking into DC one day some 10+ years ago and happened upon a “Support Our Troops” rally on the Mall at which he was one of the keynote speakers, and stayed for a half hour. Not a very big crowd, 5,000 perhaps, but a nice event with some good patriotic speeches—-Hannity’s was one of the better ones. I bought a couple of “Support Our Troops” stickers from the GOPShoppe table and left feeling pretty good. Sad to say, the only feeling Hannity evokes in me now is the desire to slap him silly and then stuff his head in a toilet and flush.
Peter – My pick for favorite video is “The Medieval Warming Crock”. A close second is the 70s. They are entertaining while delivering the message. Kind of classic.
