Ron Finley plants vegetable gardens in South Central LA — in abandoned lots, traffic medians, along the curbs. Why? For fun, for defiance, for beauty and to offer some alternative to fast food in a community where “the drive-thrus are killing more people than the drive-bys.”
Thanks for posting this inspiration; it’s now going into my ‘Permaculture Solutions’ collection on my youtube channel, “KnightBiologist”. I have over a hundred videos listed on Global Warming (many from Climate Crocks)…these, of course, outline the problem. I hope to surpass that number in the solutions department!
