year. That’s around a trillion tonnes that won’t need to be melted this
year.

Both superb visuals that communicate their rightfully scary message clearly. Graphs speak to me, so the first is good, but I think the presentation of the thick ice either being lost to the Atlantic or (escpecially in the last two years) melting out directly would be very effective to practically any audience.

The illustration could not be clearer, at least to me.
The canary in the coal mine has mummified, and the ice is collapsing.
If people really understood what this is saying, and the implications, then surely it would have gone viral by now?
Why can’t more people get the message?
What more do we need to do to make it sink in, besides waiting for ever increasing weather events to do it instead, when it may be too late to step back?
Maybe I should inject some banal humour, cats, sex scandal, bikini shots, word puzzle or an unexpected zombie shock at the end…

don’t get discouraged, and don’t assume you have to have huge numbers to influence thought. The piano playing gerbil gets big numbers, but does not influence thought.
