  1. Already the deniers are claiming Sandy is not news and that it’s nothing to do with climate change. What is even sadder are claims that us “alarmists” are reveling with glee in anticipation of the ongoing disaster (comments section of CiF):

    How horribly wrong they are. No one wants to see lives lost, but continued denial in the face of this can only fuel even more climate chaos.


    1. Exactly right. I don’t get that denial-specific mentality at all, unless it is some sort of odd coping mechanism that coincides with their denial.

      Nobody wants to see lives or livelihood lost now, and in particular those that seek climate change mitigation measures do not want to see disruptions in the future. It just makes sense.
