I always thought with a slight rewording, and maybe a little more strident tone, and this song could be an excellent rallying cry to address climate change and resist opponents of action. Just change the verse “… run to the rocks, …”, to “… run to the ice, …”, and the lyrics work pretty well.
Maybe a musician would want to take a stab at this… I think Bob Marley and Winston Hubert MacIntosh would approve.
