AP – Fukushima Robots Find Lethal Radiation

At Chernobyl, the Russians used some 600,000 people in the cleanup, since each would receive his or her maximum allowable dose in a few hours, or a few minutes.

Of course, this is not a surprise. One of the unappreciated costs of nuclear energy has always been this problem of burning through skilled craftsmen at incredibly high rates when repairs are needed in irradiated areas. At one time in the 1970s, the Wall Street Journal reported on a repair job at Indian Point that used up every available welder in a 3 state area, due to the exposure issue.

Fukushima is not one reactor however, it is 4.  The robots are telling us that the math is going to get rather surreal before this is over.
