Living in a LEED Home

When they hear about LEED certification, most people think only of energy consumption.  This useful video points out a number of other considerations that go into certifying a LEED home – including indoor air quality, use of water, siting so as to avoid critical habitats or create sprawl, proximity to work and play so as to minimize need for transportation.

Reviewing all these criteria, you may spot ways that you can easily “green up” your environs, or find out that, perhaps, your living situation is greener than you thought.
